Search for Specific Lessons in the Courses

There are a few locations that you can search for lessons inside of the courses.

Here are the steps to do so:

  1. First, go to My Library and open up the course that you want to search in. Please note: you can only search inside of one course at a time, so open up the course that you think the lesson would be in. For instance, you wouldn't open up the 2D Design course if you were searching for a 3D modeling lesson.

  2. When you open up a course dashboard, you will see a search bar in the upper right corner:

There is also a search bar above each lesson:

  3. Once you search for a keyword(1), you should see some results appear(2) that contain those keywords. Finally, click "Read more" to open up that lesson(3). If no results appear, try a different keyword.

Search for Keywords Inside of a Single Lesson

Another option is to search for keywords inside of a single lesson. This is a very handy feature if you are looking for a specific part of a lesson that happens to be a longer video, like the 1 hour live lesson replays.

  1. First, open up the lesson that you want to search, click the closed captions in the bottom right, and click "Search Video"

  2. The closed captions will now overlay the screen where you can manually scroll though them or search for specific keywords mentioned in the lesson. You can also change the language from the available options in the lower right corner.

  3. If you search for a keyword that is mentioned in the lesson, it will appear highlighted in the closed captions. To go to that part of the lesson, just click on that line of the closed captions. On the right of the search bar, you will also see how many times the keyword is mentioned in the lesson. You can scroll through the closed captions to see all of the highlighted searched keyword. Finally, you can click the 'X' in the upper right corner once you are done searching.
