My Course Videos Aren’t Showing Up — How to Fix It

If you’re logging into your Learn Your CNC Academy course and the videos are missing or won’t play, don’t worry — this is usually caused by your browser blocking JavaScript, which our course platform requires to load videos.

Below are quick fixes for the most common web browsers and a few extra troubleshooting tips.


Why This Happens

Our course platform videos require JavaScript to load.

If JavaScript is blocked (by browser settings, an ad blocker, privacy extensions, or security software), videos may not display at all.


How to Fix It (Browser-by-Browser)


Google Chrome (Windows & Mac)

If you see blank spaces where videos should be:

  1. Open your course page.
  2. Click the properties icon to the left of the address bar.
  3. Select Site settings.
  4. Find JavaScript.
  5. Change it from BlockAllow.
  6. Refresh the page.


Microsoft Edge

  1. Open your course page.
  2. Click the lock icon 🔒 in the address bar.
  3. Choose Permissions for this site.
  4. Find JavaScript.
  5. Switch to Allow.
  6. Refresh the page.


Mozilla Firefox

Firefox doesn’t show JavaScript settings as clearly as Chrome/Edge.

If videos are not showing:

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Type this into the address bar: about:config
    1. ⚠️ Note: Firefox may warn you when entering about:config  . This is normal.
  3. Search for: javascript.enabled
  4. Make sure it is set to true.
  5. Restart or refresh your browser.


Other Things That Can Block Videos

If JavaScript is already allowed, try the following:


1. Disable Ad Blockers or Privacy Extensions

Extensions like:

  • AdBlock / AdBlock Plus
  • uBlock Origin
  • Ghostery
  • DuckDuckGo Privacy
  • Privacy Badger
  • NoScript

…can block video players.

Try temporarily disabling them:

Chrome & Edge & Firefox:

  • Click the puzzle-piece icon (Extensions).
  • Disable any privacy/ad-blocking extension.
  • Refresh your course page.

2. Private/Incognito Windows

Some incognito modes block scripts or cookies.

Try opening the course in a normal browser window.


3. Security Software or Firewalls

Some antivirus tools block embedded players.

Try whitelisting our website to avoid it being blocked:

learnyourcnc.com

academy.learnyourcnc.com

kajabi.com


4. Try Another Browser

If the issue persists, test in:

  • Chrome
  • Edge
  • Firefox
  • Safari (Mac/iPhone/iPad)

This helps determine whether the issue is browser-specific.


5. Clear Your Browser Cache

Sometimes old cached data prevents videos from loading.

Chrome/Edge/Firefox:

Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data

(check “Cached images and files”)

→ Clear → Refresh.
