00:01:33 - Metric carves with imperial bits, all of my bits and settings in VCarve are measured in inches. A friend gave me a DXF file to carve that's in millimeters. There was a version in inches, but it didn't open correctly. I'm trying to use the metric version. I wanted to know if there's anything I need to be aware of beyond the following, ensure the project is set up in millimeters, and use millimeters for the post processor.
00:05:58 - I've been tasked with making my daughter something to hold her 2.65 diameter canister of Beauty Bomb. The task is a block of wood with five columns To hold them with a 10 degree incline, so that when you pull one out, the rest slide to the front. Not sure I'm doing it right, so I attached the pictures of the file I'm using. And to allow for some wiggle room, I'm setting up each column at 2 and 3 quarter wide. I could really use your guidance on this. Not sure if I should use a large ball nose bit or cove bit. I want to make sure the tin canister's curve is closed, or the columns at least fit the tins well.
00:15:22 - In bootcamp level 0 of the master course, doing a 3D carve and having multiple tool changes, XY should stay the same, but sometimes it's hard to get an accurate Z zero setting. Therefore, would it be best to use zero position in the lower front machine bed?
00:22:39 - I'm creating spearheads and I can't seem to taper the blade to what a blade should look like. There's a small amount left on the edges that I would like to smooth out. For the life of me I can't figure out where in settings I need to make adjustments.
00:35:33 - If I built a cabinet in SketchUp, how do I get it into Aspire to program the different details?
00:43:08 - If you have clamps on your work and you want to make sure the toolpath clears the clamps on its travel to and from the toolpath where exactly is that setting?
00:44:36 - Is there an easy way to have the machine go to a known preset XY position to start a job?
00:49:32 - If there is any chance to look over this file and make any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.
